INAUGURAL TEAM

Bernadette Hogan Editor in Chief (Class of 2017) Is a double major in English writing and philosophy, and holds a double minor in Spanish and theatre. She is the Editor-in-Chief for The Circle, a competitive member of the Marist equestrian team, a member of Campus Ministry and Sigma Tau Delta English Honors Society and writes her own political talk show for Marist College Television. In the fall of her junior year, she studied abroad in Madrid, Spain where she attended Universidad Carlos III, traveled more than she slept and rode Spanish horses on the outskirts of the capital city. She is committed to fostering a non-biased, relevant news source for Marist students to respect on campus.

Goodman Lepota Creative Director (Class of 2018) Is an international student from Johannesburg, South Africa. He is a Bachelor of Science Business Administration major with a Public Praxis pathway and Political Science minor. He is the Creative Director for The Circle. During his sophomore year at Marist, he won 1st place at the 2016's Mid-Hudson Regional New York Business Plan Competition. During the 2016 elections he worked for the Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign headquarters in Brooklyn for 7 months as an intern. The same year, his role as UNC Chapel Hill’s SBP campaign manager was recognized by NPR as one that “Broke Barriers.” He follows and enjoys all types of music.

Gabriella Gamba Editorial Manager (Class of 2017) Is a major in communications and concentration in journalism and public relations. She has been writing for The Circle since the fall of her sophomore year. After two semesters as a staff writer, she took on the role of features editor, and eventually managing editor. She enjoys writing and reporting for The Circle because she gets to do what she loves while immersing herself more deeply in the campus culture. Gabriella is also the publicity director for Marist’s student-run integrated communications firm, North Road Communications. When she’s not in the library or in class, you can find Gabriella at home watching movies with her housemates, working out at the gym or exploring Poughkeepsie for the next best restaurants.

During her junior year, Lauren studied abroad in Florence, Italy and gave tours of Santa Croce Basilica. In the future Lauren hopes to work at a museum and live in New York City or London.

His goal is to someday work with an NBA team in the digital field. He is always looking forward to the future and feels that his best days are yet to come.
